Sorry, everyone. You just can't get the *feel* of this picture from its small size. I can't figure out how to make it bigger from the scanner. Believe me. I've tried EVERYthing.

Mom was just telling me this story last night. She said you all had to get them out before insurance ran out. At least you knew you were all in pain together! Misery loves company. You guys all don't look too bad.
Luckily I only had three (like my mom) so only one side of my face looks and feels horrible.
Thanks for sharing your experience with everyone else to make me feel better! There will be no picture taking of my cheeks. James already tried and I told him no!!

Jana: I had forgotten about the insurance running out until your mom mentioned it. She has a good memory! What I did remember is that I had 4 taken out, and they were all impacted. Ewwww. And I remember waking up from the anesthetic and walking out to this bench in the hallway, lying down, and falling back to sleep. Ha!

Megara: Ha! Such great fun, wisdom teeth! We were probably miffed by having to have our picture taken. :)

bim just FOUND HIS WISDOM TEETH in a BOX in our GARAGE!!!

gross, gross, barf, barf

i had a fabulous wisdom teeth extraction experience. i filled my vicadin prescription and popped it BEFORE the appt (isn't that what you're supposed to do?). feeling groovy.

Sherry: I think you should start sending Bim's teeth to his relatives in little boxes.

And I don't think vicadin was even invented when we had our wisdom teeth out.

Lovely lovelies. You girls look fabulous! I, of course, got mine out later all by myself so I could get special attention because that's how I roll.

And we probably had some new insurance.

Krista. I'm with you sister. My wisdom teeth experience wasn't too horrible. Vicodin, ice cream, and Cool Runnings, what more could you want?! Love you Jana, and your chipmunk cheeks

the last thing i remember hearing before i went under was, "oops, good thing we gave her the gas" as the surgeon chuckled and wiped something warm dribbling down my arm. turns out he had a hard time finding a vein for the anesthetic needle and had to stick it in my hand.

Ooo, Annie! I didn't remember that. Good thing you went right to sleep. Do you remember when Alex had his out, the surgeon dropped or touched a hot instrument to his lip and burned it? Of course, they doctored up the burn with whatever they doctor up burns with and gave us medicine for preventing scars, and when Alex regained consciousness, the surgeon gave him some free movie tickets and some coupons for free ice cream and a bunch of other free stuff. Alex was elated (and also thought he was going bowling that same night with his friends). When we got home, I was telling Dad how NICE the surgeon was to offer all that to Alex, and Dad said they were just trying to butter us up so we wouldn't report the incident or file a lawsuit. Boy was I naive!
